If you are suffering (and even if you're not)...
Hey Friend
,
I pray that it is well with your soul today. šš
My last email was celebratory in nature, but it left me with a nagging sense that I also had to share a video with you that I made several weeks ago, one that I really should have shared it with you back when I first made it on August 31. I didnāt send it to you at that time because it is hard sometimes to acknowledge the difficulties in life and to admit things that I struggle with. But in order to have an authentic friendship with you and to be able to share the highs with you I also need to share the lows. š
August 31st was a particularly difficult morning as I felt quite overwhelmed by all the sickness and sadness in the world. However, I knew that God could make something good come from it, since it is in His nature to do so:
- Isaiah 61:3 āTo grant those who mourn in Zion, giving them a garland instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of a spirit of fainting.ā
- Romans 8:28 āFor God works all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose.ā
- Genesis 50:20 āAs for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive.ā
So I made this video, despite my reservations, to share a couple of messages that I pray spur us all onto healthier and more joyful lives. It speaks to those who are currently unwell - to encourage them to keep fighting(!) - and to those who are well, to encourage them to not take unnecessary health risks but to make at least a small change toward better health.
I did not transcribe this one, so youāll have to watch or listen to know what it says. I pray that it is a blessing to you!
With love and gratitude,
Bailey
Psalm 107:1 āOh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His lovingkindness is everlasting.ā š
